Products and prices
The list your agent is allowed to sell from, and why it will never quote anything else.
Where prices come from
Your agent quotes from a table of real rows: a product, a listing, a treatment, a room. Each row can carry a price, a description, a link and a picture. The agent can show these to a visitor and talk about them. It cannot invent a row, and it cannot invent a price for a row that has none.
Ask it for something you do not stock and it will say so and offer what you do have. That is the whole point: an agent that improvises a price creates a bill you either honour or argue about.
What a visitor sees
When someone asks about something you sell, the agent shows real cards with the title, the price and a link. If your business takes orders and a row has a real store link, the card can carry a button that takes them to checkout. The visitor always checks out themselves. The agent never takes payment and never places an order for anyone.
Keeping the list right
Edit your rows in your products in your console. If a row goes out of stock, mark it unavailable rather than deleting it, so the agent can say "that one is gone, here is what is closest" instead of pretending it never existed.
Rows carry a "last checked" time. A row nobody has confirmed for a day is spoken about more carefully. A sold item quoted as available is the worst thing this product could do, so old information is hedged rather than trusted.
What happens overnight, without you doing anything
Every night Ampa re-reads the page behind each of your rows and retires anything that has sold or gone out of stock. It also looks for items you have ADDED since it last looked, so something you put on your site on Monday is being talked about by Tuesday morning rather than waiting for somebody to re-import your catalogue.
It refuses to conclude anything from a bad night. If your site times out or returns errors, those rows are left exactly as they are and counted as unchecked. A crawler that retired your stock because your host was busy would empty your shelf on the day you had the most buyers.
Once a week it also re-reads your pages for wording rather than stock, so a description you rewrote reaches the agent on its own. You can trigger that yourself at any time from What Ampa knows.
Emailing someone the products they asked about
If a visitor asks about products and gives an email address, your agent can send them exactly the items that came up in that conversation. This is on by default. The email lists only real rows from your table, and only the ones actually discussed. Ask us to turn it off if you would rather every message came from a human.
Prices you would rather not publish
Some businesses do not put figures in a chat window. If that is you, tell us and the agent will describe how pricing works and take it to a written quote instead. It will still never invent the number.
